The 40-year-old was not asked to plead when she appeared before Harare magistrate Stanford Mambanje. Zvikomborero Mupasa, representing the State, opposed bail for Mwangi. It’s funny how I made a request 2 ago when I visited Chikurubhi female prison, donating goods to my fellow women in custody , I asked that Authorities to grant me the permission to be remanded in custody along with others because I wanted to see, feel , understand how they survived in this uncomfortable place. My request was denied as they told me I could only be remanded if I commit a crime . 2 years later today I’m writing this letter from Prison because of a mistake I made which turned to be a crime. Now I can see , feel , experience what it is to be in prison. I will tell you all about it when I’m out, today is not the right day as I’m celebrating my birthday. I turned 37 years behind bars and I’m going to enjoy with my inmates. I know some of you miss me
