FOUR men died last night after ingesting a deadly concoction made with poisonous aloe vera in the diamonds-rich Chiadzwa area.
The victims, identified as Joseph Myambo (45), Robert Muchawaya (28), Brighton Gwenzi Chibhoso (27), and Kudakwashe Marambire (44), were confirmed dead at Chiadzwa Clinic, where their bodies were taken.
Two other men, Munyaradzi Mutande (25) and Jacob Matambo (27), who also consumed the concoction, are battling for their lives at Mutambara Mission Hospital.
Police confirmed the tragic incident, saying investigations are in progress.
When The Manica Post visited the area this afternoon, police details were awaiting colleagues from Mutare CID Crime Scenes who were said to be on their way to attend the scene.
According to police reports, Myambo, from Christine Dairy in Chipinge, prepared the lethal mixture and shared with his colleagues.
