Zvinonzwisa Tsitsi Job Sikhala Murume Mukuru Kuchema Nhasi Pa Court Achifarira Mwana Wake Apasa Chikoro Iye Ari Muchikurubhi Oti Nyika Yandirasa Asi Mwari Anoona

Today I want to pay tribute to Mai Ellen Sikhala, the wife of Zimbabwe’s political prisoner, Job Sikhala. Her husband has been in prison for almost 19 months of political persecution, but Mai Sikhala has kept the family together, and as you can see from this results slip, their son passed with 14 points at Advanced Level.

Job Sikhala’s family has been exclusively supported by the public both financially and emotionally, without any institutional financial support. It is difficult for anyone, let alone a woman to be left to care for 11 children, and yet the kids continue to excel at school.

For that, we must all take our hats off to Mrs Sikhala who was also targeted by the regime which took away her driver’s license on a trumped up charge.

May the Lord continue to give her strength and protection from this vile regime!

Well done to Job Sikhala’s kids for continuing to do well in their studies regardless of the pain of not having their father at home.

The academic success of Job’s children reflects resilience.

I would also want to thank EVERYONE who has contributed financially towards the school fees and upkeep of these kids.

Job will have something to smile about when he sees these results.
