Tytie and Kiki Criticize Nyati Family for Sauna Visit Amid Pregnancy Risks

In a fiery online spat, social media personalities Tytie and Kiki have taken aim at the Nyati family for what they call an "irresponsible" decision to visit a sauna while Mai Nyati is visibly pregnant. The pair did not mince their words as they highlighted the potential dangers such an activity could pose to the unborn child.

"It’s shocking to see how some people prioritize luxury over the health of their baby. A sauna is no place for a pregnant woman!" Kiki posted on Instagram, tagging the Nyati family.

Tytie echoed the concerns, stating in a live video: "The heat and dehydration risks in a sauna can cause severe complications, including low birth weight, premature labor, or even miscarriage. It’s reckless and needs to be called out."

Risks of Saunas During Pregnancy

Medical experts generally advise against sauna use during pregnancy due to the following risks:

  • Overheating: Excessive heat can raise the mother’s core temperature, potentially leading to neural tube defects in the developing baby.

  • Dehydration: Sweating can cause fluid loss, leading to dehydration, which is dangerous during pregnancy.

  • Low Blood Pressure: Prolonged exposure to heat may cause dizziness or fainting, increasing the risk of falls.

While the Nyati family has yet to respond to the criticism, the online debate has sparked widespread discussion about pregnancy safety and the responsibilities of public figures.
