Full Story: A 27-year-old woman has handed herself to the police after the body of her newborn baby was found inside a freezer on Wednesday. It's alleged that the woman placed her baby in the freezer after giving birth and went to have fun at a local tavern in Odendaalsrus, in the Free State, South Africa.
The body of the baby was wrapped in a tracksuit top and placed inside a plastic carry bag.
On arrival, police found the body was already frozen and paramedics certified the baby dead.
Police are investigating a case of concealment of birth. Police say the mother was not at the rented house when the body was discovered and after a search, she handed herself over the next day.
