Tragic News from Mbizo
A heartbreaking incident occurred today, February 10, 2025, in Mbizo 13, near Maryward Primary School and close to the Dollar Bill shop (Ward 4). A woman named Anna Matambo, affectionately known as Mai Chipo, was brutally murdered with an axe by her boyfriend at a neighbor’s house around midnight.

The boyfriend, identified as Wasu, is currently on the run and is wanted by the police. The Mbizo ZRP police have attended the scene this morning.
The motive behind this horrific act remains unknown, and Anna has been sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Anna was a hardworking woman who worked at Munhanga Canteen in Mbizo 5 Musimbe shopping area.Relatives of a slain Kwekwe woman, Anna Matambo, who was allegedly murdered by her
boyfriend last week, have dumped the deceased's body at the suspect's home in Mbizo 15. The deceased's uncle Phillip Chidhakwa told 98.4 FM News that they took Matambo's body to the suspect's house to bid farewell.
Meanwhile the alleged suspect, identified as Paul Mlambo, is currently on the run and being sought by the police.
