MOUNTAIN Top Apostolic Ministries pastor, Isaac Zhou, is battling for life after he was stabbed in the chest by a congregant as he prepared to start his service on Sunday.
The source of the dispute is yet to be disclosed.
It is alleged that on Sunday, as Zhou and another female pastor were getting ready for a church service at Lifelong College along Rotten Row Road, Shingirayi Muyambo stabbed the pastor.
The female pastor was busy decorating the stage when the incident happened.
She saw Zhou falling to the ground after being stabbed with an okapi.
He was bleeding profusely from the chest.
Muyambo attempted to flee the scene but he was caught by some members of the public and was handed over to the police.
The weapon used was recovered from him and held as an exhibit.
Muyambo appeared before magistrate, Marewanazvo Gofa, charged with attempted murder.
He was remanded in custody pending finalisation of investigations.
