HARARE – A 22-year-old self-styled Madzibaba Jalel Munondinzwei from Hatfield is on the run after being accused of sodomizing two 12-year-old boys at his shrine.
According to Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, Madzibaba Munondinzwei, a member of the Johanne Masowe yeMuchinjikwa sect, is wanted for questioning in connection with the alleged sodomization of his two aides at his shrine.
Inspector Chakanza appealed for information leading to Munondinzwei’s arrest.
The incident unfolded on December 23, 2023, when Madzibaba Munondinzwei allegedly brought the two boys to his shrine. That night, he exposed them to a pornographic video and sodomized them in a tent at 3 am.
The boys immediately reported the incidents to Madzibaba Munondinzwei’s assistant, their mother, and the police, leading to an official police report.Munondinzwei moved to Marondera for prayers, but a vigilant resident’s tip led to his arrest.
