TAXI driver, who was found dead in Harare yesterday morning, might have been a victim of a ritual hit, a witness has told H-Metro.
The witness, who was the first to see the man’s body early in the morning, said there was blood all over his private parts.
The taxi driver’s body was found at the corner of Nelson Mandela and Simon Muzenda Street (formerly Fourth Street) yesterday morning.
The witness, who is also a prison officer, suspects the taxi driver was murdered after a chase.
“I suspect that he was hired as a driver and was being followed by another car because I observed blood stains all over and broken car window glasses at the scene.
“His upper body was fine but there was blood all over his trousers, especially the area covering his privates.
“His car was not damaged and there are also blood stains on the driver’s seat,” said the witness.
The body was taken to Parirenyatwa for a postmortem and identification by the next of kin.
