“We are here because we have lost many people at this place, so we want to ask God to help us get rid of the evil spirits that roam at this area. As the patriotic churches, we need to help our government with prayers,” a church leader said.

Another added, “We also have a message for the drivers that as the festive season approaches, lets exercise caution, a lot of people are dying unnecessarily.”

As the festive season approaches, the Patriotic Churches in Zimbabwe is worried about accidents which are caused by human error.

Pastor Michael Ndlovu of the Patriotic Churches in Zimbabwe said, “It’s really disturbing that we keep losing lives, especially during holidays because either the driver is drunk or speeding. We want to encourage drivers to be humane. We are also here to pray at this area, a lot of people are losing lives, so we took it upon ourselves to come and worship here”.

The church service was also attended by political and traditional leaders.
