The alleged spirit of Chizemo is reportedly venting its anger on the Mashairenyi family in Mutambara, Chimanimani, following his murder by Erick Mashairenyi in 1974. The avenging spirit of a man who was murdered nearly 50 years ago is demanding more cattle after the family of the murderer paid 26 cattle as compensation. The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has issued a stern warning to people engaged in the illegal harvesting of firewood and possessing charcoal without permitssaying they will be arrested. Posting on their Twitter handle on Monday, the ZRP said 10 people were arrested on Wednesday last week after being found in possession of 160 bags of charcoal in Beatrice, Mashonaland East.
