A 13-year-old boy commits suicide over washing powder raw with his sister. Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe confirmed the incident. A 13-year-old boy from Mushumbi Pools committed suicide after a misunderstanding with his 21-year-old sister over washing powder. “On March 6 around 0600hrs, at Gumbo village, Chief Chitsungo, Howard Kanyepa (13) was reprimanded by his sister Gracious Kanyepa (21) over washing powder,” Mundembe said. This angered Howard, who went to his bedroom hut where he took a bottle of cotton pesticide and went into a nearby bush where he drank the pesticide. Gracious alerted their father. A search was conducted and Howard’s corpse was found in the nearby bush.
